I'm in Istanbul right now. I was in Cyprus for the poker tournament, had a few days to kill and my dad has always wanted to come here. So we came...I'm so glad I did. Wow. Istanbul is such a wonderful place.
First off it's beautiful - I'm talking Sydney Vancouver beautiful. Stunning city. The people are kind...it's an entirely diff culture ...mostly Muslim but they all seem very non-judgemental and the people are free to do as they wish. Religion is not forced on them. To top it off the nightlife is NO JOKE!
We went to this place called Reina the other night - this place was something else...I've done my fair share of going out but i gotta tell you the setting was unreal. Right on the water...beautiful decor - yachts would just pull up and drop people off - it was INSANE. I couldn't believe such a place existed in Istanbul of all places! Beautiful women. Sharp dressed dudes. It was such a scene. We had a wonderful dinner, me, my pops, uncle Kev (Kevin O'Donnell) and Sorel Mizzi. Afterwards we just stayed for the club which was the same place pretty much, ordered a bottle of vodka and just mingled around. Hanging out w Sorel is quite fun, he is very socially outward - what you would call the exact opposite of shy. It was a lot of fun.
Unfortunately for me the next day I woke up w cold and have been in bed the whole time stuck in the room....not fun. Tomrw onto Portugal for the EPT!!
